Not everything you lose is loss

Some losses are healing, a divine course correction.

A clearing, a miracle, a doorway to clarity.

Some losses are devastation, but they spark new growth.

Clearing the way, carving space for becoming.

We cling to people, places, and possessions, and call it love.

But letting go is freedom—a daring leap into trust.

I was lost in grief, untethered, ungrounded, aching.

And when I embraced the crush of loss, I found peace.

It wasn’t an ending, but a beginning.

I reconnected with the girl I once was, gathering wildflowers and watching the stars.

Now, I carry my parents in the softness of my heart, their love a quiet whisper in every step I take.

I no longer seek approval, I simply am.

One with them, one with me.

And that is freedom, that is love.
