Anxiety is a common concern that affects many people worldwide. I had my first panic attack 27 years ago after a traumatic emergency section, and I had no idea what was happening at the time. I was terrified that I was dying at that moment.
Many factors may contribute to the increasing prevalence of anxiety, including changes in lifestyle, increased exposure to stressors, and better awareness and recognition of anxiety disorders. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly increased anxiety and mental health issues as people have faced new challenges and stressors.
This anxiety-soothing mini course is for you to begin to understand your own version of anxiety, how to soothe your symptoms, and practices to help you feel, face, and release your stress responses.
It's important to remember that anxiety isn't a weakness, and it often affects those of us who are strong and doing hard things to help others.
And many effective treatments are available, including coaching, therapy, supplements, and medication, where you can learn and practice anxiety-soothing lifestyle changes.
If you are experiencing anxiety, it's important to seek help from a professional who has faced their own struggles and moved past them. This is my personal opinion, as when I reached out for help once, the counsellor obviously had no idea how it felt and told me to hold up a stop sign, and it would go away.
I am here for you as someone who knows the reality of extreme anxiety, PTSD, and regular panic attacks. Although they are rare for me now, I still do the work to balance my nervous system. and it's so much easier now.
